What is Canva? In short, it’s an online tool that allows anybody (even you) to create just about any type of visual content you could ever imagine. No technical or design skills required.
Here’s an overview of what makes Canva so great:
- Well, #1 has to be that it’s free. There is a paid option but the free version will serve most purposes for any small business.
- You can customize everything to your brand. Upload your logo and images, use your brand colors and fonts – Canva allows you to customize each of your creations specifically for your brand.
- There are thousands and thousands of free images and templates. There are paid options, but they are affordable, and you can likely get by using the free stuff in most scenarios.
- Drag and drop. Simply pick your template and drag and drop images, text, shapes, icons and more.
- So. Many. Options. for creating marketing collateral. Templates exist for business cards, brochures, flyers, email headers, postcards, letterhead, presentations, certificates, labels, and much more.
- Social media images are so quick to create. Canva already knows the sizes required for headers, posts, icons, etc. across all the major platforms. Just select your size and you’re off to the races.
- If you cannot find what you need from the wealth of templates available, you can create your own custom projects from scratch. The possibilities are completely endless!
- It’s easy to share designs with other members of your team – you can give editing permissions or simply ask for comments.
You are completely capable of utilizing Canva completely on your own! I also use Canva to create visual content and marketing collateral for clients. If you are interested in learning more, contact me at Kelly@wildflamingomarketing.com.
